Black Friday 2010!!!

Greetings one and all. I think it's sort of ironic (and perhaps fitting) that my first post on this financially-themed blog comes on the day of the year when more money is spent on retail items for Christmas than any other day of 2010.

This blog will be devoted to financial topics that--in today's world--are uncommon $en$e.

Topics and ideas such as...getting out of debt, investing, life insurance, and much more.

So what makes me qualified to post about these topics? I'm glad you asked. I'm a licensed producer in the State of Michigan for Life, Accident, and Health Insurance.

I also provide personalized get-out-of-debt plans for individuals, families, and businesses through a ministry called Forward Financial Group. FFG is fully subsidized by Faithful Family Life Ministries out of New Albany, Ohio.

I have helped many clients find and get on the road to financial freedom using the principles of FFG and God's Word.

There is a saying out there, "Methods are many, principles are few. Methods always change, principles never do."

We will be covering financial principles that are inarguable and infallible. If you employ the principles I speak of in this blog, you WILL become debt-free.

I used to have another blog and post daily to that. But now the focus will strictly be financial topics. I'm unsure of the frequency of this new venture, but it probably won't be daily.

So let's get started!

Why is it essential to get out of debt? Proverbs 22:7 says, "The rich rule over the poor; the borrower is slave to the lender." So the principle is simple. Who wants to be a slave?

Slavery in every form was abolished in 1865. Yet today and the other 364 days of the year, God's people continue to run up credit card debt, purchase vehicles they can't afford, and other such activities that effectively enslave them.

Part of it is that the culture is so debt-oriented, it seems normal to have credit cards, store cards, a car payment, etc. In fact, my daughter received a toy cash register set for her birthday last year. Do you know that it came with it's own "credit card" and a place you could "swipe" the credit card? She was 3 years old! What the heck?

It's time to stop the madness!

The founder and President of Forward Financial Group, Pastor Gary Keesee, frequently speaks of how God showed him that debt is a thief that steals God's provision from our lives. As I became painfully aware, it boils down to a trust issue.

Essentially, I trusted my credit cards and score to meet my "needs" more than I trusted God to meet them for me. God's Word is very clear that we are not to worry about "what you will eat or what you will wear." God knows our needs before we even ask for them.

So the "Uncommon $enSe idea" for today is: Trust in the Lord your God to meet your every need! He will more than come through every single time!

I've seen this in my own life on numerous occasions. I'm ashamed it took me more than 30 years to understand this principle.

But there is good news! I've learned so much through studying these principles that I'm excited about helping others with all that I've learned.

No matter how bad you think your finances are, the good news is that there is a way out! I'd love to show you how--for FREE! Yes, it's really FREE!!!!
